Residential

These are a selection of some of our residential projects, which have been photographed for reference.

This fast paced full scope renovation project on a beautiful older home in Constantia, Cape Town, was a highlight in 2024. With a very tight deadline and a lot to be done – we embraced the challenge with open arms. The house, had been vacant for some time, in a beautiful position under the mountain but needed a lot of love and updating to bring it back to life.

This project was all about trust – a repeat client gave us full reign to manage the process from Johannesburg, from the interior design to the supply of furniture and finishes. Filled with lots of light and space, we opened it up and breathed new life into it, installing a new custom kitchen and bathrooms, stripping finishes and focusing on adding more contemporary elements with attention to keeping it paired down and personal – it is very focused on natural elements, textures and beautiful finishes, all the while being understated. More home, less house.

HOUSE S

This beautiful home literally suspends in the trees of the Newlands forest. Flanked by full height windows on all sides, the view is breathtaking! We knew when we undertook this project for an existing client, that due to the multi levels as well as long  distance management, it would be complex, but we also knew that it would be a labour of love and the end result would be beautiful. The interior is a textural mix of beautiful collected pieces with all focus on comfort and entertaining. A new eat-in kitchen is the focal point and central hub of this family home. A place to meet. A place to eat. A place for socializing and really appreciating the fabulous location.

The middle level renovation needed to be a very well planned rollout as the family was living there during the process. Undertaken from Johannesburg, we project managed the kitchen and flooring demolition and then our team started the new kitchen installation alongside new flooring to both levels, electrical and painting, finished with new furniture and window treatments.

In our clients own words she describes the result as - "less house, more home."

HOUSE GS

This heritage home underwent a full scale renovation, which we were tasked with the Interior design for. Our client wanted to keep some key traditional elements alongside very contemporary finishes and design details. The vision across the board from architect to, Interior design, to builder and to client, was extremely cohesive, resulting in a very considered interior which ticks all the boxes.

All joinery was designed and manufactured to suit requirements, as well as finishes selected to make this home a beautiful space which is functional, restrained but at the same time, well thought out with attention to every detail. It was a wonderful process to be involved in and watch it roll out so seamlessly.

HOUSE H

This Family home within an estate in Kyalami, underwent an extensive renovation over the course of 2021 to early 2022. Updates were made to all finishes to make it a lighter, more contemporary, and welcoming space where they could entertain large family gatherings.

It started as a medium sized project, with our focus being replacement of all wardrobes, floor finishes, wall finishes, window treatments and vanities being uplifted and custom made. As we made progress, we realized that the kitchen, which is now the heart of this home, needed to be updated in line with the new finishes. This required additional extension and building work – all of which has changed the way this home works. The kitchen revamp has become the meeting and talking point of the living areas and has changed the way this family lives, works, and plays in their home. Alongside this, we custom made joinery for their PJ lounge to create a space where the children could work and congregate away from the living areas, and where the family can retreat to for some quiet.

GABON 3D RENDERS

We offer 3D renders which are photo-realistic visuals to translate design concept, area by area. Renders are an additional cost to our standard mood boards and design presentations

Phase 1 on this project was firstly to change finishes without a full demolition and we were challenged with making the home feel lighter, brighter and more contemporary with budget being front of mind. It is geared to family living and entertainment.

From very dark mahogany joinery and every shade of brown in existing furniture and wall finishes, we have managed to inject much needed freshness with new paint colors throughout, as well as some cladding over wall tiles, refurbishing existing kitchen and tackling a need for more storage with custom joinery, in all the areas we undertook. The end result is a big turnaround with fresh, functional and comfortable spaces with ample storage. A contemporary home for a young busy family!

HOUSE D

This stylish, contemporary home in Waterfall estate, is owned by a husband and wife team of professionals who live there with their teenage children. Structurally, it is slick. It’s a space to entertain and the finishes high-end. The interior was extremely sparse, with no art or personal references. It needed life, layering, and warmth added to take it from being a stark space to something that now feels welcoming and more personal.

Still slick, but with the addition of some key pieces, accessories and artworks it is becoming more user friendly and functional for the family. Custom made furniture sits alongside Italian imports and special pieces chosen by the clients.

HOUSE M

This home in Fernridge was almost a complete rebuild which we consulted on from the moment the contractors broke ground. Our scope was to advise on all finishes, layouts, and to be involved in the process of resolving onsite challenges. We built various custom furniture items and reconfigured some existing pieces to suit the clients budget. With young children the requirements were to be focused on lifestyle - a fun young space, centred on entertainment and functionality. Big exterior spaces allow for children to play and adults to be entertained. Living spaces all open onto these areas to create a large interior/exterior area for get togethers. This was an extensive project, with a challenging budget, which once completed become a much loved home and project for us.

HOUSE L

This slick contemporary home, positioned on a vast plot in Potchefstroom has been carefully built with great attention to detail and modern finishes. We have been brought in to bring the interior spaces together, soften the hard structural elements and create a warm and comfortable space for this family of 6. The spaces are overscaled and require careful consideration in order to define them and make each area feel more liveable. Phase 1 is in process and will be updated as we progress.
