Our Interior Design service includes the following -
Site measurements & floor plans drawn up for space planning and furniture layout options: Site visits - full site measurements taken in order to draw up plans, check onsite details and draw up detailed plans accordingly.
Interior design consultation: Presentations of visual mood boards and finishes selection for approval before costing and manufacture.
Custom furniture design: Present visual concepts for custom furniture design made to suit clients space and requirements, thereafter full manufacturing drawings done to suit.
Project management: Full project management of the manufacturing process for custom furniture design & manufacture as well as onsite management of teams; suppliers and contractors including on renovation projects and building sites.
Window treatments & Curtaining: Onsite measurements taken & recommendations and selection of suitable finishes. The service includes manufacture and installation of curtains, blinds and shutters.
Wall finishes: Advice on suitable applications and selection of relevant wall finish options including wallpaper applications as well as site measurements, procurement and installation thereof.
Upholstery: New soft furniture custom made to order. Re-upholstery and revamping of existing furniture to suit your current needs and budget. Full selection of fabrics and finishes presented and procured.
Assistance with Renovations: We offer advice, give input and feedback on detail for building plans in order to ensure your build looks at all aspects of your living spaces being functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. We offer selection and proposal of finishes, meet with contractors, draw up layouts and plans to suit as well as cost the job and project manage the rollout including drawing up project timelines, budgets and planning should the client require.
Project management and builds for commercial spaces: Includes site inspection, checking as-builts, setting up budgets, timelines and budget as well as managing contractors and site in order to meet deadlines and agreed budget.
Styling: Accessorizing, sourcing and selection of one off pieces, art and accessories to complete partially decorated interiors.
TAYLORED SPACES is owner run and managed by Joanne Taylor.
With over twenty years experience having completed homes both locally and internationally in Ireland as well as Luxembourg, as well as many local homes and office spaces in South Africa. Taylored Spaces offers a turnkey design service to residential, corporate as well as hospitality projects.
Joanne has been involved with various high end local Design stores, focused on furniture and product design, and manufactures her own interior lighting brand LIGHTHOUSE COLLECTION which is sold into her interiors, to local Design stores and onto Interior Designers.
Alongside the domestic design service, we offer a full scope of works to Corporate Interiors which includes the interior design and fitout for office builds, and project management thereof. This process is extremely hands on, time and budget driven, and we understand the necessity of meeting both of these requirements meticulously and timeously having successfully completed several office builds and interior fitouts.
Working in people's homes is extremely personal.
We understand that certain pieces hold huge value and sentimentality so we work closely with our clients to achieve spaces which feel like home rather than showrooms, incorporating wherever possible, these items which hold value.
We build relationships based on trust and understanding.
Our style is not focused on any one design "style". We have worked extensively with both contemporary and more classic interiors. We work according to brief and provide a look that firstly suits the architecture of the space, and then we aim to work with the clients personal taste, guiding them in order to provide an interior that works holistically and feels personal.
Naturally, we gravitate towards contemporary interiors making use of collected and sourced pieces to create an interior which resonates with the people who live/work there and which reflects their personalities.
We are not "trend" focused. We believe in simplicity, making use of the best materials we can and using suppliers who do not cut corners in the manufacturing process which is imperative to supplying product which is both timeless and has longevity. We use local artisans who are specialists in their particular fields.
Timeless interiors are not focused on following trends.
Custom making furniture offers both individuality and meets the client’s needs far more closely than buying mass produced items, however, we also understand budget limitations and will work with our clients to achieve the best of both in order to supply the look they want and give considered advice on how to achieve this.
